BRAZIL – With spring weather on the way, it’s time to think about 4-H and the fairs around the area.

Natalie Korniak, an education director with the Purdue Extension Service talks about plans for this year’s 4-H Fair in Clay County.

Natalie Korniak spoke with Frank Phillips. She said there are about 500 children involved in 4-H in Clay County, but she would like to see more sign up. There are various ways to sign up your children for 4-H. You can contact the Purdue Extension office in Brazil or go online and there are forms available in various schools in Clay County.

4-H has many opportunities for adults to become involved in 4-H. Volunteers are needed and many adults make exhibits to show during the fair.

Natalie Korniak will be the guest on an upcoming Focus on the Community which airs on DLC Media radio stations throughout the Wabash Valley on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

This weekend’s guest will be Jim Coffenberry who will be talking about economic development in Wabash Valley.
