Woman Fires Shots, Threatens Officer And Spits On K9 Officer

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – A Terre Haute woman is facing numerous charges after an argument Thursday night.

Police received a call about shots fired around 10:30 in the 1400 block of 1st Avenue.

Officers say that 23-year-old Jasmine Jones got into an argument with other women and then pulled out a gun and fired two shots.

She walked away but was found a short time later.

Jones threw down a hand gun she was holding but it discharged another round when it hit the ground.

While Jones was in a police car she began kicking the windows and door, called an officer a “racist cracker” and said that his kids were going to die and then she allegedly also told the officer he hated black people and his kids didn’t deserve to live.

The after arriving at police headquarters she spit through the window at a police K-9 and said she would kill the dog.

Jones will make her first court appearance Wednesday the 21st on charges of battery by bodily waste, criminal recklessness, intimidation, carrying a handgun without a permit, criminal recklessness, and striking a law enforcement animal.
