ROCKVILLE — A Rockville woman’s wedding ring was lost n the mail and she told WRTV she is heartbroken.

Janet Risler said she bought insurance but has not received any compensation.

Janet and Larry Risler have been married more than 10 years.

In December 2021 she took the ring to a jeweler to have prongs reset but they wouldn’t do it, saying they might damage the diamond. So, she had to mail it to the company where her husband bought it.

The $1,200 ring never made it to its destination and the postal service can’t find it and hasn’t paid the insurance claim.

“I want people to know I’m married,” Risler told WRTV  “I love my husband.”
