Cayuga Man Arrested On Charges Of Rape And Sexual Misconduct With A Minor

CAYUGA, Ind – Around 1:30 AM Monday morning, Cayuga Police were called to 206 S. 4th St. for an unresponsive female.

The female was taken to Union Hospital in Clinton.

Investigating officers discovered that the 15-year-old had been given alcohol and had been sexually assaulted.

Police say that their investigation shows that 19-year-old Robert J. Chapman Jr. of Cayuga had provided the alcohol to the Juvenile and then sexually assaulted her.

Chapman Jr. was arrested and is being held in the Vermillion County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.

He is charged with felony sexual misconduct with a minor, two counts of felony rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
