LINTON, Ind – On Wednesday afternoon the organizers of the Linton Freedom Festival announced that the event for this year has been cancelled.
A statement from the group said that the pandemic made it hard to plan for the event. See the full letter below.
Organizers said that there is uncertainty if the current plans to lift restrictions by the July 4th holiday could change. They also stated that they depend on the generosity and donations of local business and individuals to sponsor the event. They said they did not feel it appropriate to ask for donations from those that are facing hardships in light of state restrictions this year.
The Linton Freedom Festival organizers are planning on returning next year.
