Several Big Items Are On The Agenda For Thursdays Vigo County School Board Meeting

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Vigo County School Board meets Thursday evening.

Several big items are on the agenda.

The board will be voting to approve the closing of McLean School and moving all alternative education to the Booker T Washington facility.

The board will vote on adopting new text books, and accelerating the rollout of Chromebooks for high school students for the next school year.

Superintendent Rob Haworth will be asking the board to approve the resolution for the Transfer of the VCSC Administration Building Property to the Vigo County Capital Improvement Board.   The corporation will at some time in the future select a new site for administrative offices and the current site will be used for parking as part of the new downtown convention center.

Those comments will be given to the board before the meeting starts and entered into the record.
