Subaru Indiana Shuts Down Through End Of Month, 6,000 Workers Idled

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Another Indiana auto plant is shutting down because of coronavirus.

Subaru Automative said Thursday it will stop all production at its Lafayette facility on Monday. The shutdown will last through Sunday, March 29.

Subaru employees will receive full pay during the shutdown, according to the automaker.

The Lafayette plant is Subaru’s only U.S. plant and has more than 6,000 employees.
