New Born Baby Girl Found Abandoned Take To Terre Haute Fire Station

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police are investigating an apparently abandoned newborn baby.

A man told Terre Haute firefighters that the baby was reportedly fond nude on a porch of a vacant home in the 2700 block of Cruft Street.

Fire Chief Jeff Fisher told us today that a man told fire fighters he was going to a friend’s house when he looked up and saw the child while driving by.

The man took the baby to Fire Station 6 in the 2600 block of Hulman.

Fire personnel checked out the white female child that still had the umbilical cord attached. They dressed the child and transported it by ambulance to Regional Hospital.
