Officials Believe That Paris Man Drowned

PARIS, Ill.  – Officials in Paris say that they believe the cause of death for a local man was drowning.

45-year-old Jeremy McDaniel of Paris was reported missing last his home on South Shore Drive around 3:30 Sunday morning.

After a search, he was found later on Sunday after in a partially frozen private pond.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy in Terre Haute earlier this week shows his cause of death was consistent with drowning, but his official cause of death is pending toxicology reports.
