VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – A federal judge has set a trial date for the lawsuit over the Vigo County Jail.

An inmate filed the lawsuit, citing poor conditions at the jail and overcrowding.

Several Vigo County officials are named as defendants in the suit.

Chief Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson is set to preside over the jury trial starting on April 15, 2019 at Federal U.S. Courthouse on Ohio Street in Terre Haute.

A Final Pretrial Conference is for March 15 next year in Indianapolis.
