VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Around midnight Friday morning Vermillion County Police arrested 24 year old Justin Kenner of Clinton on charges of Domestic battery (resulting in Serious bodily injury to a person under 14) and Child endangerment (resulting in serious bodily injury to a person under 14); both charges are Level 3 Felonies.

Police say that last Tuesday (8/21/18) Vermillion County Deputies were called about an infant that was choking and had stopped breathing.

When first responders arrived they found a 6-month old infant that had shallow breathing and was lethargic.

The child was taken to Union Hospital of Terre Haute.

Medical staff discovered several other injuries to the infant and the child was taken to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis where doctors noted numerous serious injuries to the child.

Police say that Kenner had caused injuries to the child on Tuesday and on at least one previous date that he supervised the child while the mother was at work.

Kenner is being held in the Vermillion County Jail without bond until his initial court appearance next week.

The police investigation is continuing.
