VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Vigo County Deputies were called to a truck – train crash Thursday morning around 10:20 a.m.

Deputies say that a white Ford Ranger driven by Jerod T. Forrest of Terre Haute was traveling east on Davis Drive east of Erie Canal and attempted to beat a train and failed.

Police say that the stop arms where down.

Forrest was treated at the scene and taken to Regional Hospital for non life threatening injuries.
