Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) and their The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America . The annual report provides state-by-state rankings of adult obesity rates, information on trends by region, age, gender and ethnicity, and policy recommendations for local and state government.

This year the U.S. adult obesity rate passed the 40 percent mark for the first time, standing at 42.4 percent – the highest ever recorded, an increase of 26 percent since 2008.
