GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – A Greene County man was sentenced Thursday for shooting and killing another man.
A jury convicted William Abel of shooting and killing Chase Aliano and then burned his belongings, buried Aliano, and hid his vehicle.
A jury found Abel guilty on all four charges against him.
On Thursday he was sentenced to a total of 80 years in prison.
Abel does plan to appeal the judge’s sentence.
The prosecution says Abel will have to serve a minimum of 59 years of his sentence depending on his behavior.
