Terre Haute, In. – The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission wrapped up its statewide listening tour in Terre Haute yesterday, meeting with residents frustrated by skyrocketing electricity costs. Dozens of Duke Energy customers gathered at City Hall to testify that their monthly bills have jumped nearly $100 in recent years, leaving many families struggling to keep the lights on. Chairman Andy Zay says the commission will now review the testimony from all ten stops before presenting a final report on utility affordability to state lawmakers this June.
