
Clay County – The Wabash Valley Community Foundation awarded $100,000 to seven Clay County organizations during a ceremony Thursday at the Harmony Community Center. These grants, funded by local donors and matching programs, support diverse needs ranging from food assistance to facility repairs. The largest award of $25,000 was granted to the Poland Historical Chapel for external maintenance. Other significant recipients include Clay Community Schools and the United Way of the Wabash Valley, each receiving $20,000 for local education and housing programs. Additional funds went to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, the Clay County Humane Society, the Council on Aged and Aging, and the Firefly Children and Family Alliance.
