Western Vigo County – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office launched a homicide investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in a lake over the weekend. Authorities have identified the victim as 38-year-old Victor Lee, a resident of Vigo County whose body was found on Sunday, in a body of water in the western part of the county near the 3300 block of Darwin Road. While the case began as a death investigation with assistance from the Department of Natural Resources, the Vigo County Coroner’s Office has officially ruled the death a homicide following an autopsy conducted on Monday. Sheriff Derek Fell stated that detectives are actively following leads, and the department is now asking anyone with information to contact the Sheriff Department.
