Terre Haute, In. – In a major win for Terre Haute’s downtown, the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission voted unanimously on Tuesday to restore the liquor license for The Verve. Despite the victory, owner Connie Wrin announced the legendary nightclub at 677 Wabash Avenue will remain closed. Wrin, who received letters of support from the Mayor and Police Chief, now plans to sell the license and shift her focus to a new, smaller cocktail venture behind Scouts Pizzeria.
