
Terre Haute, In. – A 62-year-old Terre Haute woman is behind bars this morning following a chaotic high-speed chase that began just after 1 am Tuesday. Police say 62-year-old Terri D. Barbee led officers through several streets and alleys, repeatedly putting her pickup truck in reverse to intentionally ram pursuing patrol cars. The pursuit ended in the 1900 block of Tippecanoe Street when Barbee struck a house while attempting another ramming maneuver. She was apprehended after a brief foot chase and following. She was transported to the hospital and after a medical evaluation, booked into the Vigo County Jail on multiple charges, including battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, resisting law enforcement, and drug-related offenses. No injuries were reported during the incident.
