
Terre Haute, In. – Following the recent winter storm that blanketed the region with over 10 inches of snow. With local schools opting for e-learning or closing due to the weather, many residents have flocked to Snow Hill at Deming Park to take advantage of the fresh accumulation. Despite a travel warning and a local disaster emergency being declared for Vigo County children and families are having a blast enjoying winter fun racing down the hill on sleds and snowboards throughout the day. With an extreme cold advisory, as wind chills are expected to drop as low as 20 to 25 degrees below zero. Those visiting the hill are urged to bundle up in multiple layers, including hats and gloves. With the cold temperatures expected to continue the snow is expected to remain for some time.
