Terre Haute, In. – Friday Vigo County Council board president David Thompson that said he would not sign the ordinance introduced by Councilman Steve Ellis, claiming it was not legally valid. The ordinance would stop any additional funding to the Vigo County School Corporation’s plan to revamp the county’s schools unless voted on by residents in a referendum. Ellis’s Proposal was passed 4-3 in a council meeting earlier in the week.
