Two Arrested in Parke County On Drug Charges

Parke County, In – Monday a Parke County Sheriff Deputy stopped a vehicle in Rockville. The driver, 19-year-old Austin Schlee of Rockville, was reportedly involved in drug activity. He was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputies obtained a search warrant for his residence. During the search a 17 year old male was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia. Another male was found hiding in a bathroom. He originally gave a false name but was eventually identified as 26-year-old James Czarnecke of Terre Haute. He was arrested for False Informing, Visiting a Common Nuisance and a Sullivan County warrant for Operating While Intoxicated. As a result of the investigation additional charges were filed again Schlee. Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Marijuana. He is being held on a $10,000 bond. Czarnecke’s bond is set at $3,000.
