Sullivan County, In. – Just after 4am Monday Sullivan County Sheriff Deputies responded to a reported shooting near Shelburn. When they arrived at the scene they attempted to make contact with residents in the home but received no response. Upon further investigation the found a female victim who had been fatally shot and male dead for an apparent self inflicted gunshot. The woman was identified as 75-year-old Judy Sheffler and the male was 81-year-old Keith Sheffler both of Shelburn. The Sullivan County Sheriff requested Indiana State Police Detectives investigate the shooting. The Sullivan County Coroner’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
