Casey, IL. – Friday morning the driver of a Hydrogen transport truck was alerted to a hissing sound coming from the Hydrogen tank on his truck while parked at a truck stop at highway 49 and I-70 in Casey, IL. He immediately contacted authorities due to the hydrogen’s explosive and flammable nature. Due to an ignition concern power was shut off in the area and persons were evacuated. A Haz-Mat team from Charleston. IL. Was called in. The tank leak was repaired and the power was turned back and the evacuation was lifted.
