Edgar County. Il. – In April of this year 53-year-old Mike Lowery, a teacher with the Martinsville, Illinois Community Unit School District, was arrested and charged with criminal sex assault on a victim between the ages of 13 and 17. This supposedly occurred with one of his students multiple times in 2023. when he was teaching in the Kansas, Illinois Community Unit School District. Lowery’s jury trial was earlier this week in Edgar County. On August 20th the Jury found him not guilty on all counts.
