Terre Haute, In. – Indiana State University confirmed Thursday that 22 year old Sycamore Football player Edward Amankwah had passed away. The University said that Amankwah’s death was not related to any athletic activities, and out of respect for his family’s privacy, no further details will be provided. Head Coach Curt Mallory said, “He was a quality young man who brought light into every room and left a lasting impact on his teammates, our coaching staff, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.” Amankwah, was a redshirt freshman defensive back from Tinley Park, Illinois, and was preparing to enter his final season with the Sycamore football team
