Terre Haute, In. – On Wednesday the Terre Haute City Council approved a plan to allow TWG Development Group to use the Payment in Lieu of Taxes program to help pay for a 120-unit lower-income apartment complex called Wabash Place on South First Street. TWG will deposit $35,000 into the new affordable housing fund and will continue to do so every year with a 3% increase yearly. Wabash Place Apartments’ will be a 120 unit apartment complex, a $39 million project, which will contain a mix of one, two and three-bedroom options.
