Rose-Hulman To Open Observatory During Open House

Terre Haute, In. – The Oakley Observatory at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is hosting a series of Open Houses for the public to celebrate the skies and observe the horizons. The first open house will be 10 pm to midnight Friday. In case of rain it will move to Saturday night. Other open houses in the coming months will allow the public to observe the sky’s changes from season to season. Upcoming dates include Aug. 22, Oct. 3 and Oct. 24. The Oakley Observatory is located on the east end of campus, near the Hunt Road entrance. Parking is available in the commuter lot near the bonfire field, also by the Hunt Road entrance. Access to Oakley Observatory requires climbing two flights of outdoor stairs.
