Terre Haute, In. – Late Tuesday Morning Terre Haute Police officers responded to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of First and Locust Streets. When they arrived they found a car had left the roadway and hit a utility pole. The Female passenger was trapped in the car and had to be extricated by the Terre Haute Fire Dept. She was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries. The driver of the car was identified ad 63-year-old Jack D. Hutchinson of Terre Haute. He was also taken to the hospital then later transferred to an Indianapolis Hospital. As the police investigated they found that Hutchinson was a habitual traffic traffic violator. Upon his release from the hospital he will face multiple charges.
