Cops Cycling for Survivors

Statewide – Cops cycling for survivors starts a 13 day 1000 mile bicycle trip that will visit all parts of the state of Indiana. The purpose of the trip is to show support for the families of fallen police officers and encouraging the public to never forget the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes. The event kick of today (Monday 7/7/25) at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield. The tour heads west from Plainfield to Terre Haute today. They’ll overnight in Terre Haute before heading north to Kentland tomorrow. The tour will wrap up on Saturday July 19th at the the Heroes of Public Safety section of Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. There are four police officers who will be given recognition for line of duty deaths in 2024: Deputy Sheriff Fred Fislar Hendricks County, Corporal Brandon Schreiber Newton County Sheriff’s Department, Lieutenant Donald Neiswinger, Jr. Indiana DOC and Officer Shawn Burnell Indiana DOC.
