Shots Fired In Parke County

Parke County, In. – Around 10:30 pm Tuesday Parke County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence in rural Parke County to investigate a report of shots fired. The report said a person was hot by a family member. The deputies found the victim down the road from the scene of the shooting. He said that he he was in the backyard of the residence when 61-year old Jonathan Fiscus of Rockville stepped outside the back door and fired one shot into the air and one shot at the victim. The victim was not struck and immediately left to wait for the Deputies to arrive. The Deputies contacted Fiscus via phone and convinced him to come out of the home unarmed. Deputies recovered the firearm inside the residence and seized it as evidence. Fiscus was arrested and taken to the Parke County Jail and held with no bond. He faces charges of Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
