
Wabash Valley – Storm warnings went up just after 1pm Wednesday with a storm front brewing in east central Illinois. Just after 3pm the front moved through the Wabash Valley with hail and high winds causing power outages, many downed trees and damages to many homes and businesses closing many roads. Duke energy reported several thousand power outages caused by the storm. The city of Terre Haute had crews out as soon as the storm cleared to begins clearing downed trees from the streets. The County Commissioners also had crews out to try and open as many county roads as possible. Some of the fallen trees required heavy equipment to be moved. Next up in the weather category is heat and humidity moving in for the weekend.
