Terre Haute, In. – When a Terre Haute Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for several traffic violations in the 12 points area Tuesday morning the river fled. Police gave chase. During the chase the driver crashed into another vehicle but continued on. The Driver of that vehicle was not injured. The driver continued east on Maple Avenue before running off the road and hitting a tree near 28th street. The driver and passenger of the car suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. According to police the car had been reported stolen.
