Fire In Terre Haute Destroys One Home & Damages Two Others

Terre Haute, In. – The Terre Haute Fire Department responded to a house fire Monday morning.  When crews arrived at 1422 Plum the house was fully engulfed with flames and smoke billowing from the structure.  Fire officials say the house was unoccupied and the utilities were shut off.  The house was a total loss.  Two adjacent homes were evacuated. One of them had minor damage to the garage and the residents were able to return home when the fire was out.  The other home had significant damage to the rear of the home.  There were no injuries and officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
