Sullivan, In. – The Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened Sunday morning at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Section Sreet in Sullivan. Police say that 71-year-old Nancy Bright was southbound on U.S. 41 and turned left on to Section Street and into the path of a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Michael Thomas of Farmersburg.  Thomas tried to stop but wasn’t able to avoid crashing into Brights’ car.  Bright died at the scene and Thomas was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
