Vermillion County Awarded $495,000 State Grant For Local Home Repairs

Vermillion County, In. – Vermillion County is receiving a $495,000 state grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs to fund critical home repairs for local residents. The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Grant will provide eligible low-to-moderate-income homeowners with up to $25,000 each for essential projects like roof replacements, heating upgrades, and ADA accessibility improvements. Administered in partnership with Thrive West Central, the program will prioritize veterans, seniors, single parents, and individuals with disabilities. Officials expect to open the application process for the countywide initiative in the coming weeks.
