
Terre Haute, In. – A series of violent incidents kept law enforcement on high alert Monday, beginning with a midnight shooting that left two people injured. The Terre Haute Police Department reports that officers responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of 25th and Locust Streets, where they discovered one victim with non-life-threatening injuries, followed shortly by a second victim in the same area. All individuals involved have been detained, officials state there is no ongoing threat to the public. A separate tense situation involving a barricaded individual was resolved when the THPD SWAT team successfully took a suspect into custody without injury. Detectives continue to investigate these incidents as the community recovers from a heavy day of police activity.
