Terre Haute, In. – A fire at the Wendy’s restaurant on South U.S. 41 in Terre Haute has forced the location to close for an extended period after a blaze broke out early Tuesday afternoon. (March 3, 2026) The Terre Haute Fire Department responded to the restaurant around noon after reports of heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof and the back of the building. Fire Department officials confirmed that everyone inside evacuated safely and no injuries were reported. Following an initial investigation, the cause of the fire was ruled as accidental.
