LaPorte County – The Indiana State Police arrested a Brazil man Tuesday on rape charges after a warrant was issued by LaPorte County Superior Court for 28-year-old- Andrew Hays. The State Police initiated an investigation of a report Hays had allegedly forced himself on a female for sexual gratification.  This allegation took place in LaPorte County. Hays arrested and charged with Rape a Level 3 Felony and Intimidation a Level 6 Felony then was transported to The Clay County Jail and held awaiting extradition to LaPorte County on a $25,000 cash bond.
