Terre Haute, In. – The price tag for a new high school in Vigo County is coming into focus. According to a report by the Terre Haute Tribune-Star on Thursday, school officials estimate the cost to build a new consolidated high school east of the Wabash River will be approximately $222.2 million. That cost does not include land purchases or additional amenities like a pool or marching band fields.  This new facility would replace the current Terre Haute North and South Vigo high schools. The estimate was shared during a presentation by Gibraltar Design to the Vigo County Oversight Board, which is currently investigating how the county might assist with financing the project. The presentation also includes an additional $79 million to renovate West Vigo High School.
