Sullivan, In. – Shortly before 2am Tuesday Sullivan Police officers were dispatched to a residence on South Bell Street in Sullivan on domestic situation. When they arrived they found an injured woman in the road and a male coming out of the house with a knife. Police verbally ordered him to drop the knife. Instead he came at the officers with the knife. One of the officers shot the man who has been identified as Kylan Holbert of Sullivan. He was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis. The female victim refused treatment at the local hospital. Sullivan County official has asked the Indiana State Police to investigate the shooting.
