Terre Haute, In. – A new Initiative has been launched by the City of Terre Haute and Thrive West Central as part of their Homes for the Future program. This Urban Homescape Initiative is designed to put to use the unused 111 vacant lots and parcels transferred to the city from Indiana State University. These parcels are located primarily in an area north of Sycamore Street, south of 3rd Avenue, west of 13th Street, and east of 9th Street. The plan is to convert this land into high-quality residential developments. Through the program, developers and home builders are invited to propose housing projects that will strengthen neighborhoods and expand local home ownership. Developers interested in participating in the new Urban Homescape Initiative should contact the City of Terre Haute’s Redevelopment Office or Thrive West Central for details
