Vigo County, In. – Indiana Governor Mike Braun, officials from The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and many local officials were in attendance Wednesday (11/5/25) as the new Indiana Welcome Center was officially opened. The Clear Creek Welcome center/rest park is located on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 just east of the state line. The center welcomes travelers and gives them a place to pull off the interstate, rest, stretch their legs and enjoy a taste of Indiana racing history. The $54 million welcome center is built around an Indianapolis 500 theme with plaques, racing helmets, and memorabilia showcasing the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
