Terre Haute, In. – US Senator Bernie Sanders was awarded the Eugene V. Debs Foundation Award Saturday night in front of a packed house of nearly 700 people at the Terre Haute Convention Center. The Debs foundation is a nonprofit that awards individuals who promote social justice. Sanders is the longest serving Independent US Senator in history.
