Terre Haute, In. – On Wednesday the US Department of Energy announced approval of loan disbursement for over $77 million which ENTEK Lithium Separators LLC will use to build a lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing facility in Terre Haute. The Terre Haute ENTEK plant is the only producer of the ‘wet process’ lithium-ion battery separator materials that can be used across industries such as data centers, energy storage, and consumer electronics. 763 construction jobs will be created for the building of the plant and once the plant is completed it will employ 635 jobs.
