Terre Haute, In. – Just after 8am Thursday The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle/train accident on North Erickson Street and East Devonald Avenue. Official say the driver of a white SUV drove around 2 vehicles that were stopped then drove around the operating crossing gates and was struck by a CSX train. The name of the SUV driver has not been released. He was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver was cited for operator never licensed and disregarding a train signal.
