Rockville, In. – Just after midnight Sunday A Parke County Deputy, on his way to service call, was nearly hit by a pickup truck operating with no lights. The Deputy caught up with the driver and pulled him over. The driver was identified as 21-year-old Lane Robert Atkinson of Montezuma. The Deputy conducted a field sobriety test and Atkinson was transported to Union Hospital, Clinton, where his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.234%. Atkinson booked into the Parke County Jail where he remains on a $8,000 with 10% allowed bond.
