
Indianapolis, In. – Between March 13th and August 1st. Governor Mile Braun has used the State Police Helicopter to travel around the state. Several of the trips were from Indianapolis to the Governors home in Jasper. Each flight hour cost approximately $1,200. A helicopter flight between Jasper and Indianapolis takes roughly 45 minutes, according to the office. The total cost of these 11 flights totaled $23,880. The state has also paid $1,745.55 to install a 20-foot-by-20-foot gravel landing at the governors Jasper home. State officials said those expenses been charged to the state anyway because of mandated flight hours for the helicopter pilots.
