Man Arrested After A Drowning At Paint Mill Lake

Vigo County, In. – Thursday afternoon authorities received a call concerning a drowning at Paint Mill Lake in Southern Vigo County. According to police reports Jimm Nidlinger Jr. and 47-year-old Tony Ingargiola of Cayuga were drinking and boating on Paint Mill Lake when Ingargiola went under the water and did not surface. The Vigo County Sheriff’s office requested that the Indiana State Police investigate the death. State police divers found the victim’s body just after 5 p.m. Nidlinger refused field sobriety and chemical tests, leading police to obtain a warrant for a blood test. The test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.171. Nidlinger was arrested band charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment. The investigation continues.
