Cayuga, In. – Standing on the Grounds of Duke Energy’s Cayuga Generating Station is a giant Swamp Oak tree estimated to 200 years old. The tree was discovered by EHS consultant Stephen Beard during environmental studies for two planned natural gas-fired units at Cayuga. At the time this tree took root, Indiana had only been a state for nine years and this giant has quietly witnessed 37 presidents come and go!
